Vocational Rehabilitation for those in need

Services Provided

VOCATIONAL ASSESSMENTS

Vocational assessment refers to the process of identifying and appraising an individual's level of functioning in relation to vocational preparation and employment decision making.

Different careers require different skills and qualifications for success. The assessments include forensic and vocational assessments to assess employability.

TESTING

There are multiple tests we can administer that indicate one's preparedness for their chosen career path or whether a different career path would be more desirable and pointed towards a persons specific personality and traits.

One of the testing suites we use is the COPSystem Career Measurement Package, but we also use the COPS Interest Inventory on its own. Another test is the Wide Range Achievement Test (4) among others which are, at times, administered together.

COUNSELING AND PLAN DEVELOPMENT

Vocational rehabilitation counselors help people with disabilities live fuller, more independent lives by assisting them in securing gainful employment.

We are certified vocational counselors that can talk you through the ins and outs of finding, applying, and finally acquiring a job you'll be satisfied with. Need more skills? We'll find a plan that fits you and your specific guidelines.

JOB SEEKING SKILLS AND PLACEMENT

Skills like composing a resume, marketing oneself, and being persistent are all crucial in the current competitive labor market climate. We provide aid in all of the above and sometimes we can even nail down the perfect job for you before you even apply.

Various skills are needed and can be obtained prior to or concurrent with obtaining one's career goals. After defining and obtaining the necessary skills for a vocational goal, job placement is offered for appropriately qualified candidates.

RETURN TO WORK AND EARLY INTERVENTION

Early Return to Work Programs return injured workers to productivity as soon as medically possible during their recovery process. Return to Work programs have proven to save organizations 15% to 40% of their claims' costs by implementing early intervention case management strategies.

The early intervention services we provide will help employees be prepared for a successful transition and return to work. We can also work with current employers in finding alternative employment options.

JOB SITE ANALYSES

Every workplace and each individual job site is different. From office environments where most work is done in a seated position to the warehouse job where moving heavy objects all day is the name of the game, no two work spaces are alike.

We have the skills and training to complete job site observations and reporting for assisting with eligibility for vocational services.

PERMANENT TOTAL DISABILITY ASSESSMENTS

Permanent Total Disability, or PTD, refers to cases where, due to a combination of medical and vocational factors, a person is unable to be employed regularly in the labor market.

Our staff have experience working in various cases where PTD is at issue, and we are able to assess all available and relevant information to provide an expert opinion regarding employability under the "Odd Lot" Doctrine.

FORENSIC EVALUATIONS AND TESTIMONY

James. M. Wilcher, CRC, CDMS, CCM has been a qualified vocational expert since 1996. Mr. Wilcher has testified as a vocational expert in personal injury, marital dissolution, workers compensation and in over 400 cases as a Social Security Vocational Expert.

Mr. Wilcher utilizes the RAPEL methodology in forensic evaluations addressing employability and wage-earning analysis
